Roberto Piaia, first painter and sculptor ever “to create the form of the empty spiral in Art”,
inaugurated on Friday, October 20th, 2017 at 7 pm
his new studio in Nebelhornstr. 2 – Mindelheim, Stadt in Unterallgäu, Deutschland. city in Lower Allgäu, Germany. This place, devoid of any frenzy and full of magical historical testimonies, offers the artist the right environment to express at best his talent.
All important Authorities of the city will be present at the inauguration.
The Master often returns to Pietrasanta (Tuscany) to form his sculptures in precious Carrara marble and resin, as well as bronze castings in the renowned foundries of the city. But the choice to paint and live most of the year in this wonderful medieval town was made because of long-standing German friendships, and for the support and the acknowledgement of the great German Nation towards any artistic expression.
The latest creations of Piaia can be viewed in the exhibition halls of the 100m2 studio.
The Paintings, all strictly painted oil on canvas with the technique invented by the Master called “Assurfivo”, where Ass. stands for “astratto” (abstract), Sur. for “surreale” (surreal or dream), and Fivo for “figurative” (figurative or hyperrealism). The fusion of these three artistic tendencies and the various oil based passages are difficult to achieve, but valuable and unique artworks in the final result.
