Roberto Piaia a Marmomac 2018 | Verona

Created both in statuary marble of Carrara, and in Bronze and Resin. These works combine the classic with the modern, contributing to the embellishment of any environment in which it is placed.

Iris

Made of marble, the subject of the work is the female figure. The body, while maintaining the volumetric framework, is formed by a double helix that is winding on itself and creating a spiral that makes the movement coexist with its lightness While remaining faithful to its form, it releases her from any appeals. The artist thus manages to make a young woman’s figure real, and away from any naive reproduction. On her knees, with her head slightly reclined and her face gazing upwards without any pupils, she is elevated to the dignity of an image that emanates introspection.
